Post Traumatic Stress
A measured and calming response is sometimes required to diffuse a crisis or to address the aftermaths of a traumatic event. Post-traumatic stress reactions can be debilitating if left untreated or unacknowledged and early intervention can help to prevent the development of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). An intervention in relation to crisis and trauma can be limited to merely providing calm, compassionate support or can be extended to mobilising treatment resources as required.
Treatment
Treatment for crisis and trauma related conditions are often limited to specialist counsellors or clinics with the necessary expertise and experience. Appropriate referral to the right type of treatment is crucial.
The range of interventions we offer are not suitable for situations that require emergency assistance from specialist mental health teams or law enforcement.
Feel free to contact us however, if you have any questions or if you require support and assistance in dealing with suicidality, domestic violence, or serious mental health issues such as psychosis, or behavioural issues such as aggression.
We can help link you to appropriate specialist services in your area.
